  • Responsibilities

    Major Duties (Job Description)

    • You will serve as the Head of the Information Technology (IT) Management Division (Code 82000).
    • You will lead and manage a team of subordinates and supervisors compromised of four branches and approximately 65 engineers, scientists, administrative specialists, and military personnel.
    • You will apply knowledge of fundamentals and principles of engineering sciences, computer engineering, and the principles of IT and network systems architecture and integration to manage and oversee IT/IS services across the Command.
    • You will participate in the development of strategic plans for Command IT/IS and RDTE network operations as well as apply applicable policy requirements and implementation guidance.
    • You will identify and address business unit workforce planning and management issues, such as recruitment, retention, and training.
    • You will establish work objectives and evaluate work of subordinates, recommend ratings, awards, and promotions in accordance with Science and Technology Reinvention Laboratory (STRL) demonstration program requirements and guidelines.
    • You will establish and approve training requirements; and take appropriate disciplinary actions, and counseling of subordinates.

    Qualification Summary

    NM-04: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Participate in the development of strategic plans for the Command and network operations as well as apply applicable policy requirements/implementation guidance and/or leads process improvement efforts to increase business visibility into the timeliness and costs of IT delivery. NM-05: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Participate in the development of strategic plans for the Command and network operations as well as apply applicable policy requirements/implementation guidance and leads process improvement efforts to increase business visibility into the timeliness and costs of IT delivery.
