  • Responsibilities

    Major Duties (Job Description)

    • You will serve as the Director of Command Operations managing all facets of center facilities, security, admin services, and safety and environmental compliance.
    • You will provide oversight of the Command and Operations support budget, the Critical Infrastructure Plan (CIP) budget Naval Innovative Science and Engineering (NISE) infrastructure budget.
    • You will provide oversight for project execution for the division in collaboration with the branch heads and the Contracts department.
    • You will address complex problems/issues and will collaborate with personnel external/internal to the organization to craft optimal solutions within existing constraints.
    • You will function as the primary change agent for the division and collaborating with 8.3 supervisors in the establishment of annual goals.
    • You will collaborate with Center leadership on implementing changes resulting from new policies, procedures, and authorities.
    • You will provide direct support for after-hours calls from Center leadership, the Command Duty Officer (CDO), and the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific Security Representative (NSR) to help resolve emergent situations.

    Qualification Summary

    NM-04: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: oversight of 60+ functions and services that reside in the following specialized areas: personnel, information, industrial security; foreign visits/disclosures; physical security; communications security; administrative functions and/or address complex problems/issues and will collaborate with personnel external/internal to the organization to craft optimal solutions within existing constraints. NM-05: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: oversight of 60+ functions and services that reside in the following specialized areas: personnel, information, industrial security; foreign visits/disclosures; physical security; communications security; administrative functions and address complex problems/issues and will collaborate with personnel external/internal to the organization to craft optimal solutions within existing constraints; and primary change agent for the division; collaborating with other supervisors in the establishment of annual goals; initiating and supporting process improvement efforts; and implementing changes resulting from new policies, procedures, and authorities.
