  • Responsibilities

    Major Duties (Job Description)

    • You will lead research and development activities to solve complex technical problems using data science and computer science methodologies.
    • You will guide the design, deployment, and sustainment of systems for command, control, and intelligence operations.
    • You will serve as a technical leader, presenting project status and identifying risks and opportunities.
    • You will independently plan and lead project tasks, ensuring successful execution with minimal oversight.
    • You will mentor and support team members, fostering growth and development within engineering teams.
    • You will analyze both structured and unstructured mission data, developing models for actionable insights.
    • You will collaborate with product teams to innovate and enhance decision support systems for tactical and operational needs.
    • You will be supporting the Chief Information Office within Deputy Commandant Information, IC4 which includes the Service Data Office, and will serve as an action officer supporting high priority tasks and efforts.
    • You will be well-versed in Marine Corps structure and culture

    Qualification Summary

    Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or ND-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Lead research, design, and deployment of data-driven systems, analyze mission critical data sets and collaborate with teams to support decision making for tactical and/or operational needs. While mentoring teams and solving complex, data-centric technical challenges.
