    Major Duties (Job Description)

    • You will provide support to the operating program of the Command.
    • You will prepare initial work plans and draft reports based on existing procedures or observation of the activity studied.
    • You will review both operational plans and current incoming work projects.
    • You will make recommendations for improving methods.
    • You will advise on the adequacy of the budgeting.
    • You will determine the need for work standards and control systems.

    Qualification Summary

    GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: planning, coordinating and managing the Government Purchase Card Program (GCPC); ensuring regulatory compliance with federal laws and regulations; providing technical guidance regarding contracting procedures; AND analyzing policy and procedural problems.

    GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: assisting with planning, coordinating and managing the Government Purchase Card Program (GCPC); ensuring regulatory compliance with federal laws and regulations; providing technical guidance regarding contracting procedures; AND analyzing policy and procedural problems.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

    Education

    Applicants may substitute education for experience in the following situations:

    FOR THE GS-07:
    One full academic year of graduate education, law school
    OR
    Superior Academic Achievement (SAA) through the following method (only one). No more than 10% of academic credit can be based on pass/fail or similar non-traditional grading systems. 2.95 GPA overall or higher or in last 2 years (= or less than 10% Pass/Fail) 3.45 GPA or higher in major or in last 2 years in major (= or less than 10% Pass/Fail) Upper 1/3 ranking in graduating class (You must submit proof with your application)

    National Scholastic Honor Society. Membership in a freshman honor society cannot be used to meet the requirements of this provision. (You must submit proof with your application)

    FOR THE GS-09:
    Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree
    OR
    Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree
    OR
    Possession of an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to this position being filled.

    A combination of specialized experience at the GS-07 level and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.

    Conditions of Employment
