Major Duties (Job Description)
- You will represent existing, new, and future PNT systems, their support and simulation tools, and test equipment.
- You will perform requirements development and management, systems engineering and design for both hardware production and software products, product development and integration, system and requirement verification and validation.
- You will develop and maintains custom simulation capabilities required for PNT component and system evaluation and verification, performs system and software engineering, development, and test for emergent PNT requirements.
- You will assist in the development of technology insertion concepts such as those required for assured positioning navigation and timing capabilities.
- You will provide real time software development and management expertise in the innovation, specification, analysis, design, development, integration, test, and evaluation of PNT systems and their support tools and simulation.
- You will manage and complete technical tasks independently and with minimal oversight, within schedule and with appropriate records management.
- You will generate and review Team products that include: software products and their change control artifacts, technical studies and reports, requirement and design documents, hardware products, test procedures and reports, etc.
- You will work in a team environment, apply effective oral and written communication skills to interface and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of civilians and military personnel at all levels.
Qualification Summary
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band ND-03 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Perform real time software expertise for Navigation Systems in the development of technology for assured positioning navigation and timing capabilities.
