Major Duties (Job Description)

• You will be responsible for the administrative and technical management and leadership of a System of Systems Enginering (SoSE) Competency.
• You will be the first line supervisor in the execution of force protection and operations systems engineering, to include electronic security systems, geospatial information and systems, public safety systems, and command and operation centers.
• You will be responsible for leading the technical effort of the Competency, including planning, assigning, and directing tasks.
• You will ensure sound fiscal management by analyzing and monitoring resources and providing information to the respective Competency manager for future planning.
• You will guide systems engineering execution across multiple projects.
• You will formulate approaches using knowledge of related projects and processes to resolve a variety of engineering challenges.
• You will be responsible for planning, assigning, and directing tasks; setting employees' performance expectations and evaluating employees' contributions.
• You will develop plans and make written and oral presentations to various personnel on competency-related matters.

Qualification Summary

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: administrative OR technical management of the following Systems Enginering Competencies: electronic security systems, geospatial information & systems, public safety systems, OR command & operations centers; standardizing AND improving systems engineering processes to include the application of digital engineering practices.
