    Major Duties (Job Description)

    • You will oversee government technical specialists, engineers and scientists supporting various projects in the Division.
    • You will work with Colorado Springs Regional Manager, the supervisor will perform and document necessary research, resulting in recommendations for employee growth and management.
    • You will plan, assign, and direct tasks; set performance expectations and evaluate employee contributions; approve leave; recommend discipline, awards, and promotions; provide training and technical and career guidance etc.
    • You will plan, acquire, manage and allocate resources to oversee and support a wide range of associated management and planning activities on one or more complex projects throughout the entire life cycle.
    • Yu will execute technical tasks such as, but not limited to systems engineering, software development, software integration, software testing, networking, information security, configuration management, and lab management.
    • You will Under the guidance of the Deputy for Operations, make recommendations for the staffing, training, and development of personnel to support the C2 Multi-Domain Arch/Engineering Branch, Code 53631.
    • You will maintain consistent and frequent dialogue with each employee in the branch, not only facilitating monitoring of individual performance and tasking, but also identifying and assigning training, providing coaching, and acting as an advocate.
    • You will conduct Information Technology (IT) management activities to include developing and maintaining strategic plans; assessing policy needs and developing policies to govern IT activities; providing policy guidance to IT management, etc.

    Qualification Summary

    I have one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined: 1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Selectee will engage in process improvement initiatives, conduct audits of projects to ensure the application of software quality engineering best practices, and cyber security policies in the development to C2 information systems and services. 2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Provide guidance and conduct performance evaluations. Under the guidance of the Deputy for Operations, make recommendations for the staffing, training, and development of personnel to support the C2 Multi-Domain Arch & Engineering Branch, Code 53631. 3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Maintain consistent and frequent dialogue with each employee in the branch, not only facilitating monitoring of individual performance and tasking, but also identifying and assigning training, providing coaching, and acting as an advocate. Shall be an effective communicator and demonstrate a High-Performance Leadership philosophy. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Will plan, assign, and direct tasks; set performance expectations and evaluate employee contributions; approve leave; recommend discipline, awards, and promotions; provide training and technical and career guidance; resolve work issues; and provide administrative support for personnel and financial management. In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-11 or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector Providing technical and project management oversight; demonstrating skills in Systems Engineering of C2 systems and/or applying engineering concepts to complex systems of systems architectures.
