  • Responsibilities

    Major Duties (Job Description)

    • You will establish and manage NAVWAR wide Information Technology (IT) planning, policy, budget, architecture, and authority.
    • You will develop and promulgate Clamancy-wide policies, procedures, and standards for the acquisition and life cycle support of IT and Information Resource Management (IRM) within given budgetary constraints.
    • You will provide strategic use of information resources, support strategic objectives, and provide oversight and certification of the annual information Management/Information Technology (IM/IT) budget in excess of $2 billion.
    • You will be responsible for information management and information systems through direct monitoring, evaluating, and executing IT and IRM programs and the performance of those programs.
    • You will oversee Clamancy-wide connectivity and maintain a standard-based IT infrastructure supporting technical and business functions and set policy and define standards for corporate IT and management.
    • You will assign work based on priorities, difficulty of assignments, and the capabilities of employees, setting short and long-term plans for work to be accomplished by subordinates.
    • You will evaluate effectiveness of operations supervised in terms of mission accomplishment, quality, quantity, standards, procedures, policy and compliance, balancing and adjusting workflow and workload.
    • You will actively support EEO programs and demonstrating a commitment to EEO principles and policies.
    • You will serve as the Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR) Deputy Command Information Officer (DCIO).

    Qualification Summary

    Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Leading a diverse Information Technology workforce through significant change; developing and maintaining budgets, building strong teams and succession plans; AND managing the development and implementation of complex Information Technology/Information Assurance/Cybersecurity policies/plans/initiatives. Experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, problem solving and project management.
