  • Responsibilities

    Major Duties (Job Description)

    • You will apply knowledge of electronic theory, circuit design, and the operating characteristics of more familiar equipment to develop, test, or perform other technical work on electronic equipment.
    • You will manage and perform work by applying knowledge of the capabilities, limitations, operations, design, characteristics, and functional use of a variety of types and models of electronic equipment and systems.
    • You will complete testing, evaluating data, and determining acceptability of equipment modifications, validity, test procedures and data, or legality of operation.
    • You will support experiments, research, and developmental activities requiring an in-depth knowledge of technical engineering methods, applications, practices, and principles to work on concepts, prototypes, and experimental projects.
    • You will provide technical and programmatic advice, guidance, and recommendations to management and stakeholders on critical issues.
    • You will undertake and complete complex tasks with multiple dependencies independently, mentor's others regularly, and leads others to accomplish complex goals.

    Qualification Summary

    NR-05 Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Developing new or modified electronic systems; evaluating the testing and data of equipment modifications, validity, test procedures and data, or legality of operation; conducting research and developmental activities requiring an in-depth knowledge of technical engineering methods; practicing the applications of principles to work on concepts, prototypes, and experimental projects that are without precedent and support state-of-the-art research. NR-04 Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Developing new or modified electronic systems; evaluating the testing and data of equipment modifications, validity, test procedures and data, or legality of operation; conducting research and developmental activities requiring an in-depth knowledge of technical engineering methods.
