    • ++Ensure Portfolio success++: lead a small, cross-functional project team in design of the Portfolio structure (innovation stage gates and related forms, templates, and guidance), decisions on stop/proceed/pivot for individual scaling concepts, and development of a pipeline of additional scaling concepts.
    • ++Support individual scaling concepts++: support initial and future scaling concepts progressing through developmental stage gates (ideation, R&D, proof of concept, etc.) with advice (testing design and execution; domain expertise when available) and written guidance.
    • ++Build partnerships and communicate collaboratively++: work with scaling concept teams, Senior Director of External Engagement, and Fundraising & Engagement team to develop outside partnerships that support the Pathways Portfolio with expertise, resources, and reach. Support internal and external communications to increase effectiveness.
    • Diversity, equity, and inclusion has been an organizational value of ChildFund International for decades. In the past year, we appointed a diversity, equity, and inclusion taskforce of staff across our organization (sponsored by our CEO) to identify next steps to further strengthen our organizational commitment. The taskforce’s efforts led to ChildFund International naming diversity, equity, and inclusion as an essential priority in our 2030 strategy; establishing DEI metrics at the highest level of accountability in our Balanced Scorecard; and the creation of this position.       • ++Advance our DEI goals collaboratively, including diversity of leadership and staff++: work with our DEI committee (an evolution of the taskforce) and Global Human Resources to introduce new organizational practices to increase the diversity of our leadership and staff and the inclusivity of our culture. Work collaboratively to develop the next iteration of our DEI strategy, including topics such as further definitions of terms; developing DEI principles, goals, and quantitative metrics; and approach to DEI in multiple cultural contexts (ChildFund International works in 24 countries around the world).
      • ++Encourage greater diversity in our work++: work with Global Human Resources and team leaders to increase the diversity of our senior-level staff and teams. Engage with our Gender & Social Inclusion working group. Complement work underway to develop an internal plan and capacity for responding to world events and supporting our professional staff in navigating them. Work with our marketing and engagement team to ensure equitable representation in our external communications. Partner to embed DEI in additional aspects of ChildFund International’s work (for example: evaluating the organization’s budget spend with vendors and recommending supplier diversity strategy).
      • ++Offer proactive and responsive education and communication++: work with key stakeholders, partners, and staff to design and deliver trainings, facilitated organizational and small group conversations, and other education that support our DEI goals. As a member of the Global Leadership Team, offer input into the strategy and direction of ChildFund International overall, as well as offer advising on DEI-related issues to senior leadership and individual staff as needed.

      • Managing scaling portfolios, innovation portfolios, product development, launch of new channels, or related efforts.
      • Developing and implementing comprehensive DEI strategies and culture change initiatives.
      • Experience or education in methodologies of Scaling innovation, lean startup/impact, agile, product development, and/or related methods.
    • Certifications in DEI-related topics, facilitation, instructional design, organizational development, coaching and other relevant disciplines, preferred.
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
    • Subject-matter expertise of a wide variety of DEI-related topics, such as inclusive leadership, gender equity, anti-racism, disability rights, unconscious bias, LGBTQI, Employee Resource Groups, and accessibility.
    • Commitment to the value that diverse perspectives and cultures bring to the organization.
    • Proven ability to develop strong working relationships and collaborating at all levels of an organization.
    • Strong facilitation, public speaking, and influencing skills.
    • Experience with coaching and supporting C-suite, managers, staff, and volunteers.
    • Solid written communication skills in English.
    • Strong computer skills, e.g., Microsoft Suite applications.
    • International travel as needed.
