The program empowers entrepreneurs and innovators to transform their ideas into thriving businesses, with a strong emphasis on healthy, shelf-stable snacks and an openness to all innovative food products and concepts.

We are seeking a Food Innovation Specialist to join our cohort of talented professionals, including attorneys, food industry leaders, engineers, and business strategists, within the Adventure Ted Ventures Accelerator. This is a unique opportunity to bring your food-related expertise to life, develop your co-founding team, and create a market-ready product with robust support from our accelerator resources.

Our primary focus includes healthy, shelf-stable snack items, but we are open to exploring a wide range of food innovations, including fresh, frozen, or specialty items that align with our mission of promoting health and well-being.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Recipe Development:
      • Innovate, test, and refine recipes for a diverse range of food products, prioritizing healthy, shelf-stable snacks while remaining open to other categories.
    • Product Launch:
      • Take your concept from idea to reality, culminating in a fully functional prototype that is ready to pitch to investors by the end of the program.
    • Collaborative Development:
      • Work alongside a diverse cohort of professionals to build your co-founding team, integrating business strategy, legal guidance, and technological innovation.
    • Support Services:
      • Utilize our design support, legal assistance, and access to funding opportunities, including venture capital connections, to bring your product to life.
    • Industry Engagement:
      • Collaborate with food manufacturers for private labeling opportunities and lead product development from concept to prototype.
    • Regulatory Compliance:
      • Ensure all products meet food safety standards, labeling regulations, and maintain the highest quality standards.
    • Innovative Opportunities:
      • Explore the integration of a healthy eating rewards token, offering incentives for nutritious choices through potential collaboration with our technology-focused cohort members.

    Qualifications:

    • Experience:
      • Culinary degree, food science background, or proven track record in developing packaged food products, with an emphasis on healthy, shelf-stable snacks or other innovative food concepts.
    • Innovation-Driven:
      • Creative and proactive in generating new ideas and solutions, with an interest in the potential of blockchain technology in the food industry.
    • Entrepreneurial Mindset:
      • Experience with startup environments or interest in launching new brands is a plus.
    • Passion for Impact:
      • Aligned with our mission to help families, especially those affected by pediatric cancer.

  • About Us

At Childhood Cancer Society (CCS), a recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit, we provide essential support to families facing the trials of pediatric cancer. Our origin traces back to a teenager's resolve to amplify family support after his own childhood health challenges. Today, CCS commits to delivering hope, emotional reinforcement, and financial aid to ensure no child endures the journey of cancer treatment alone.

Embodying our ethos of perseverance and optimism is Adventure Ted, our superhero teddy bear and official spokes-bear. He embodies the courage found in adventures, guiding children and families to maintain a positive outlook by embracing his motto: "See the adventure in all that you do." CCS not only strives to alleviate the burden of childhood cancer but also to infuse this challenging journey with a sense of adventure and possibility.
