  • Responsibilities

    We are currently looking to hire a Grants Management Intern to assist with operations in our Grants Management Department. This is a unique work/study internship for a junior or senior undergraduate student to work part-time while attending school. This is a paid internship, and a great opportunity for someone who is interested in learning about or pursuing a career in philanthropy and/or grant making.

    This position will report to the Grants Associates, and the person will be responsible for learning Carnegie Corporation’s grants management process, updating, troubleshooting and creating dashboards for the grants management software -- FLUXX, becoming familiar with grant-making compliance laws, shadowing members of the Grants Management Department, and performing administrative and other miscellaneous clerical tasks.

    We are looking for someone who can work a minimum of 20 hours a week. Work hours can be flexible to accommodate school schedule, but work must be performed during normal business hours.

    • Must have prior office/clerical experience.

    • Must be articulate, well organized and have good verbal and written communication skills.

    • Tech-Savvy, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

    • Must be proactive and a curious learner.

    • Must be detail oriented and be able to independently follow up projects to completion.
