  • Responsibilities

    Cloud Infrastructure & Networking

    • Maintain, configure, and monitor AWS & DigitalOcean cloud servers and networking components.

    • Assist in setting up and managing Droplets, Firewalls, Load Balancers, and Virtual Private Networks (VPNs).

    • Optimize cloud resources for performance and cost efficiency.

    • Implement basic security best practices, including SSH key management, access controls, and network policies.

    • Troubleshoot networking issues related to DNS, firewall rules, and connectivity between services.

    Automation & Scripting

    • Write and maintain basic Bash, Python, Powershell, or Ansible scripts for infrastructure automation.

    • Automate deployment of cloud resources using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform (if applicable).

    • Develop and maintain cloud monitoring and alerting systems.

    Collaboration & DevOps Support

    • Work closely with programmers and DevOps teams to deploy applications securely and efficiently.

    • Assist in configuring CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.

    • Support containerized workloads using Docker (Kubernetes knowledge is a plus).

    Monitoring & Maintenance

    • Implement logging and monitoring tools (such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Uptime Kuma).

    • Ensure system availability and uptime through proactive monitoring and issue resolution.

    • Respond to incidents and provide support for cloud-related issues.

    Documentation & Continuous Learning

    • Document processes, configurations, and best practices.

    • Stay updated with the latest AWS & DigitalOcean features and cloud/networking technologies.

    • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving infrastructure.

  • Qualifications

    +1 year of experience or equivalent (certifications etc.) or currently pursuing a degree in Information Systems Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Network Systems Technology, or related fields

  • Desired skills

    Must-Have:

    • Basic experience with cloud services (AWS & DigitalOcean preferred, GCP/Azure acceptable).

    • Understanding of Linux server administration and networking concepts.

    • Familiarity with Bash scripting, Python, Powershell, or Ansible for automation.

    • Basic knowledge of networking (IP addressing, firewalls, VPNs, DNS, and load balancing).

    • Eagerness to learn, collaborate, and contribute to a mission-driven organization.

    Nice-to-Have:

    • Experience with Terraform, Pulumi, or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.

    • Knowledge of CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, etc.).

    • Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

    • Experience with monitoring and logging tools.
