  • Responsibilities

    DOROT is a nonprofit organization that is committed to alleviating the feeling of social isolation among older adults. We achieve this goal by bringing the generations together.

    For Summer 2025, we are seeking an intern to join our Finance Dept. This intern will have the unique opportunity to have an impact on older adults in the community, learn about the aging population and gain experience in the finance field. This individual will work on program analysis to evaluate return on investment working with an interdisciplinary team, audit preparation, analysis of funding sources, and other reconciliations, providing needed organizational support. Additionally, they will connect and debrief with DOROT’s Controller on a daily basis in a supportive educational environment.

    Throughout the internship, this individual should expect to learn and develop skills in the following areas:

    • Project Management
    • Team collaboration and communication skills
    • Analyzing large quantities of data
    • Non-profit accounting rules (GAAP)
