    What You’ll Do…

    This position is located in Houston, TX. Our intern program philosophy is to “recruit once, hire twice” with the hope to hire interns back into full-time or return internship roles.

    The internship program assignments are 10-14 weeks in duration and are full-time in-person internships. The summer 2025 internship is expected to begin on May 19, 2025.

    Your Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist in the development and optimization of graphics applications using OpenGL, WebGL, WebGPU, and GLSL.
    • Collaborate with the team to implement and enhance graphics features.
    • Work on integrating graphics programming with web frameworks such as Angular and Node.js.
    • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of code quality.
    • Debug and troubleshoot graphics-related issues.
    • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in graphics programming.

    What You’ll Bring to Our Team

    Required Qualifications:

    • Reliable transportation to and from work daily is required.
    • Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States both now and in the future; Halliburton will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Proficiency in programming languages: Java, JavaScript, TypeScript.
    • Experience with web frameworks: Angular, Node.js.
    • Strong knowledge of graphics programming: OpenGL, WebGL, WebGPU, GLSL.

    Highly-Desired Qualifications:

    • Familiarity with graphics algorithms and techniques.
    • Previous experience with graphics programming projects or internships.
    • Knowledge of 3D rendering and animation techniques.

    Relocation

    This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. To qualify, your university and/or permanent address must be more than 50 miles from your work location.

    • Corporate housing provided for the summer to those candidates who qualify.
    • Relocation assistance.

    Salary Range: $26/hour for students pursuing a Bachelor’s degree; $31/hour for students pursuing a Master’s degree; $36/hour for students pursuing a PhD
