    What You’ll Do…

    These positions are located at our R&D Facilities in Houston, Texas.  Our intern program philosophy is to “recruit once, hire twice” with the hope to hire interns back into full-time or return internship roles.  

    The internship program assignments are 10-14 weeks in duration and are full-time hybrid internships.  The summer 2025 internship is expected to begin on May 20, 2025.  

    Your Key Responsibilities:

    Projects you could potentially work on include:

    • Get basic training on the performance tests used to evaluate oilfield chemicals.
    • Collect and organize large amounts of data, perform statistical analyses to extract insights, and use statistical methods and/or data analytics tools to fit predictive models.
    • Support the Senior Data Scientist on data cleaning, image/video processing tasks, and development of machine learning and computer vision models.
    • Collaborate, and assist on the evaluation of oilfield chemicals using advanced developmental methods.
    • Support Halliburton Multi-Chem’s initiatives to drive differentiation and efficiencies through digitalization, data analytics, and artificial intelligence.

    What You’ll Bring to Our Team

    Required Qualifications:

    • Be a highly self-motivated and progress-driven individual willing to work in challenging problems.
    • Fundamental knowledge and hands-on experience with data science tools, preferably Python, SQL, Microsoft Azure, Visual Studio.
    • Hands-on experience on image processing techniques such as KERAS, TensorFlow, and Pillow.
    • Hands-on experience on the development of deep learning models for various classification, regression, and generation tasks.
    • Experience developing supervised and Unsupervised ML Models using kNN, SVC, LR, Random Forest, NN, K-means, etc.
    • Hands-on experience on advanced Python visualization using NumPy, Matplotlib, Pandas, Seaborn, etc.

    This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. To qualify, your university and/or permanent address must be more than 50 miles from your work location.

    • Corporate housing provided for the summer to those candidates who qualify.

    Salary Range: $26 - $31/hour
