    What You’ll Do…

    These positions are located at our R&D Facilities in Houston, Texas.  Our intern program philosophy is to “recruit once, hire twice” with the hope to hire interns back into full-time or return internship roles.  

    The internship program assignments are 10-14 weeks in duration and are full-time hybrid internships.  The summer 2025 internship is expected to begin on May 20, 2025.  

    Your Key Responsibilities:

    Projects you could potentially work on include:

    • Research, create and help drive new innovative Near Wellbore Reservoir Simulation
    • Research, create and help drive new innovative Multiphysics Informed ML transforming Petrophysical data into reservoir and reservoir fluid insight.
    • Contribute to the documentation and delivery of simulations approach and algorithm(s) 
    • Proactively learning about new technologies  
    • Actively participating in simulation validation, DOE, and possible proxy models. 
    • Work with stakeholders, product owner, and others to understand simulations requirements and design.

      

    What You’ll Bring to Our Team

    Required Qualifications:

    • Reliable transportation to and from work daily is required.
    • Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States both now and in the future; Halliburton will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position.
    • Degree in Reservoir Engineering, Petroleum Engineering
    • Experience with reservoirs simulation software, building analytical and numerical models, designing DOE for proxy models.
    • Ability & desire to work with a multi-disciplinary team

      

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Prior intern, co-op, or research experience
    • Strong analytical and technical skills
    • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
    • Self-motivated and results-oriented  
    • Strong problem-solving abilities  
    • Understanding of near wellbore reservoir engineering and fluid PVT properties. 
    • Knowledge on using Sim software tools like Nexus, PVTSim. 
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills

    This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. To qualify, your university and/or permanent address must be more than 50 miles from your work location.

    • Corporate housing provided for the summer to those candidates who qualify.

    Salary Range: $26 - $31/hour
