Serves within the Agile Space Operations Software Branch, also known as Space Commerically Augmented Mission Platform (Space CAMP). Champions the ongoing security and compliance of the DevSecOps platform to maintain its Authority to Operate (ATO) certification. Collaborates closely with the development and operational teams to streamline the delivery of certified applications to field users, ensuring uninterrupted mission support. Drives creation and refinement of policies and procedures that empower rapid, continuous software releases and fosters a robust, agile development environment with the U.S. Space Force.
This position plays a key role in safeguarding the software development lifecycle and deployed applications, as well as designing and implementing robust security measures throughout the DevSecOps pipeline ensuring the integrity of code repositories, container registries and deployment environments. This includes establishing stringent access controls, conducting comprehensive vulnerability scanning of code and container images, and ensuring rigorous adherence to Department of Defense (DoD) and industry standards. Exercises vigilance in monitoring the pipeline for anomalies and potential breaches. Proactively conducts security audits and penetration tests to identify and migrate vulnerabilities. Fosters best practices and the importance of integrating security seamlessly in DevSecOps processes.
Cultivates proactive security culture through diverse software development teams, customer groups, and operational users. Champions security principles and fosters collaboration with stakeholders through clear communication and influence and leadership. Engages with decision makers within the United States Space Command (USSPACECOM), United Space Force (USSF).
