Job Summary
Assistant general managers support the general manager in leading teams to deliver the most exceptional southern hospitality experience to our guests. They help develop and guide a team that drives traffic, sales, and profitability by fostering a customer-centric culture.
Essential Duties
People
Create an inviting store culture where team members feel respected and valued.
Actively seek growth opportunities and development assignments for team members.
Communicate effectively with all guests—internal and external.
Take an active role in onboarding new team members.
Demonstrate Bojangles’ cultural principles in every interaction.
Performance
Be a subject matter expert and ensure adherence to all systems and processes.
Uphold standards and take corrective action when standards are not met.
Empower team members to deliver WOW guest service in every interaction.
Reduce repair and maintenance (R&M) costs through proper manager walkthroughs, process execution, and timely escalation of opportunities.
Profit
Understand the restaurant’s profit and loss (P&L) results.
Recognize how quality, service, and cleanliness impact sales.
Participate actively in inventory management.
Demonstrate and uphold all safety and security standards.
Engage in limited-time offers (LTOs) throughout their life cycle, including training and meeting point-of-purchase (POP) deadlines.
Qualifications
To qualify for this role, you should have:
A minimum of 2 years of management experience.
Be 18 years or older.
Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Availability to work any shift, 7 days a week, with a required 50-hour work week.
Prior supervisory experience with a coaching mindset.
Experience onboarding employees at all levels.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools.
Cash handling and bank deposit experience.
The ability to multitask and lead teams in a fast-paced environment.
The ability to bend, stand, kneel, and frequently lift 25+ lbs.
