Chamberlin Roofing and Waterproofing is looking for a detail-oriented, organized, and professional individual to join our growing Division in Dallas, TX. We are looking to add a Roofing and Sheet Metal Project Estimator to the growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for products, projects, or services. Strong organizational and time management skills are a must in this position as you will be asked to perform daily tasks with a high level of attention to detail and maintain deadlines.

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an estimating role with a Waterproofing, or Roofing and Sheet Metal construction company.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Selling Chamberlin services to general contractors
• Build and maintain the relationship with current and potential clients
• Compose bids and estimates for projects
• Attend construction pre-bid, pre-con, and post-con meetings as needed
• Assist in reviewing and negotiating contract terms
• Help position Chamberlin as the subcontractor of choice for commercial Waterproofing, and Roofing and Sheet Metal
• Positive attitude, Self-motivated, Ambitious, and a Team player
• Responsibilities include direct communication with staff, management, customers, and vendors
• Monitor projects with respect to status and time and materials
• Conduct regular meetings with managers and field workers
• Review and analyze budget reports and prepare and develop budget modifications and recommendations

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Sales, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• Be familiar with Edge Estimating Software
• An understanding of general construction
• Knowledge of various Roof systems, Waterproofing systems, materials, construction processes, and theories
• Knowledge to inspect and ensure attention to detail and quality
• Build and develop productive working relationships with other department managers and management personnel
• Able to understand complex problems and make decisions to benefit everyone as much as possible
• Ability to read and understand construction documents and blueprints
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills
• Problem-solving and dispute resolution skills
• Able to work independently without significant supervision
• Able to build relationships with accounts and customers
• Team player

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must be authorized to work in the United States (We do E-Verify) and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing
• Must have a valid driver's license and driving record that meets Company requirements
• Must be able to work on a computer for 6-8 hours a day

EDUCATION:

• Four-year college degree preferred in Construction Science, Construction Management, Construction Engineering or Business majors preferred, but not limited to any other Four-year college degree.
