Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement educational programs and activities for children in a child care setting
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Supervise and train child care staff members
- Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations and standards
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and other relevant information
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as teachers and therapists, to support children's individual needs
Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience working with children in an educational or child care setting
- Strong knowledge of child development principles and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead and motivate a team of child care staff members
- Organizational skills to manage schedules, budgets, and resources effectively
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children
