Position duties include, but are not limited to:
- Serves as the Deputy Chief of the Integration & Operations Division at AFRL/RQO at WPAFB, OH.
- Directly supports division chief in the management of technology planning, facility modification/maintenance/acquisition, business development, management operations, computing/information technology, information management, human resources, information protection and division administration.
- Analyzes, evaluates and potentially re-engineers business processes across the Aerospace Systems Directorate (RQ).
- Implements established policy, guidance and direction from higher headquarters.
- Represents the Directorate and Division to other directorates, Air Force Organizations, DOD organizations and national and international organizations.
- Directs the activities of over 100 civilians, military, and on-site contractor personnel multidisciplinary team within the Aerospace Systems Directorate (RQ).
- Requires working closely with senior leadership, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure the efficient planning and execution of research initiatives and alignment with the Aerospace Systems Directorate mission and strategic goals.
- Assigns work to, and through, subordinate supervisors.
- Manages, optimizes, and oversees the day-to-day operations and integration of different branches/groups internally and across the organization.
- Contributes to and assists in the development and execution of near and long-term strategic planning for the division, ensuring alignment with RQ's mission, and strategic goals, objectives, and priorities.
- Develops, plans, implements, and directs those actions required to ensure the division's business, management, and operational activities enable the mission, vision, and strategy.
- Leads, promotes, and enables complex professional engineering and scientific work involving the application of multidisciplinary engineering fields such as: electronics, mechanical, systems, aerospace, and/or other engineering and business disciplines to plan, organize, direct and coordinate significant and complex technical projects and/or business processes.
- Resolves multi-faceted problems spanning multiple disciplines.
Other Significant Facts:
- Regular travel (~10%) will be required for the position
- Situational Telework options may be possible.

- This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent will be subject to random testing.
- Work will occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station via commercial aircraft.

Required Qualifications
- US Citizenship
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
- Applicants must have one year of specialized experience at the DR-3/GS-14 level. Specialized experience includes experience in communicating complex processes to senior leaders and staff, gathering and analyzing data/information, developing alternatives to promote efficiency/effectiveness, complying with applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines, supporting contract acquisition and management, program/project management, financial management, planning and organizing work to meet deadlines.
