    Position duties include, but are not limited to:

    • Serves as Security Specialist, Government SAP Security Officer (GSSO) for Special Access Program (SAP) activities and the Special Security Representative (SSR) for the Intelligence Community(IC) activities in the High Performance Computing division of the Digital Capabilities Directorate.
    • Provides expertise in Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) construction and authorization in accordance with the provisions in DoDM5205.07 Vol 1-4, the Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs).
    • Provides comprehensive day-to-day security management and oversight for above secret classified activities.
    • Performs shared duties of the Top Secret Control Officer (TSCO), conducts inventories as required.
    • Conducts initial and annual security training for assigned above secret computing support personnel, annual self-inspections/reviews, document security incidents according to ICDs, SAP directives, security classification guidance and applicable service regulations/instructions for collateral requirements.
    • Conducts briefings/debriefings for all assigned personnel; maintains personnel security folders on all individuals.
    • Works with the Information System Security Officer (ISSO) team in the creation, tracking and disposition of media.
    • Applies broad DoD and AF security directives and policies to local conditions and situations including performing other security duties as assigned.

    Required Qualifications

    • US Citzenship
    • Must have at least one year of specialized experience at the next lowest grade level or equivalent grade level of the position being advertised
    • Ability to obtain and maintain appropriate security clearance
    • Males must be registerd for Selective Service, see www.sss.gov
    • This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to pre-employment drug testing as a condition of employment, and participation in random drug testing.

    Desired Qualifications

    • Experience as a GSSO/SSR at the GS-13 equivalent level is preferred.
    • Experience building SCIFs and getting them accredited.
    • Additionally, the candidate would have one or more security certifications, IAW AFI 36-2645, Security Professional Certification and Development, or have taken additional professional development in SCIF construction oversight.
