    Job Description

    POSITION OVERVIEW

    Achieve Retail Sales Plan, elevate client service standards, and increase Beauty Stylist retention and productivity. Accomplished by conducting effective training seminars, driving point of sale initiatives throughout assigned Territory, and providing at-counter coaching and specialized training in Focus Doors. Work with Sales Team to reduce turnover by developing highly motivated, knowledgeable, and productive Beauty Stylists and Counter Managers.

    PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Work with local Field Sales management and corporate Education Team to determine training needs and develop appropriate action plans to ensure total territory achieves retail sales goals.
    • Conduct all training seminars for Beauty Stylists and Counter Managers in territory; inclusive of Seasonal Seminar twice a year, Basic Induction Seminar (based on turnover needs), and Specialization Seminars as decided upon, based on business need.
    • Train all counters in partnership with Account Executives on standard D.I.O.R. Art of Selling techniques.
    • Conduct initial orientation training for newly hired Beauty Stylists in Focus Doors, and oversee orientation training strategy for the Territory.
    • Partner with Account Executives to ensure that they have necessary education materials for stores not covered by Education Managers.
    • Ensure the proper usage of the DBR, Business Planner, and Dior-Direct Client Card through in store and seminar trainings.
    • Drive launch sell-through through seminar training, pre-training calls (as needed), in-store selling, and building expertise with AEs/AC team.
    • Conduct training with Fragrance Bar Consultants as needed (based on launches), and drive fragrance expertise plans for the territory.
    • Conduct follow-up coaching sessions to enhance Beauty Stylists’ selling skills and product knowledge in Focus Doors.
    • Monitor and analyze sales performance, focusing on product sell-through and a mix of business in top doors.
    • Participate in the selection and interview process of Beauty Stylists and Counter Managers in top doors.
    • Plan follow-up coaching for the assigned territory following seminars with the Regional Sales Director and AE partners.
    • Work with Counter Managers to enhance product knowledge, to develop selling skills, and to encourage team management and business analysis skills.
    • Evaluate Counter Managers’ and Beauty Stylists’ skills on an on-going basis and conduct new product training as needed.
    • Develop a positive relationship with the Men’s & Women’s Fragrance Associates through in-store and seasonal-focused trainings.
    • Conduct training on Special Events with Beauty Stylists and appropriate Selling Specialists in seminars and top doors.
    • Ensure that all local market training needs adhere to budgetary parameters set by the RVP and the VP of Retail Development.
    • Instill a motivational and challenging work environment necessary to reduce Beauty Stylist turnover.
    • Enforce Beauty Stylist image guidelines by always wearing the appropriate attire in-store, as well as during training seminars.
    • Maintain constant and productive communication/partnership with RVP, Regional Sales Director, and Account Executives.
    • Conduct all other job-related activities.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 5+ years of experience in prestige cosmetics sales and education (sell-through)
    • Excellent communicator in English – both verbal & written
    • Strong presentation skills
    • Strong product knowledge
    • Strong coaching skills, self-motivated, and a team player
    • Travel varies by territory and may be extensive
    • Deals with confidential information and/or issues using discretion and judgment
