The Air Force Research Laboratory, Information Directorate Fabrication Branch (AFRL/RIOLF), is seeking to fill a WG-2805-11, Journeyman Electrician, position located in Rome, NY. The primary purpose of this position is to install, repair and maintain various electrical systems, controls and equipment.

Required Qualifications
1. Knowledge of safety regulations, practices, and procedures.
2. Knowledge of technical practices in order to plan, lay out, install, modify, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of complete systems.
3. Knowledge of theory, instruments, and technical practices used in electrical shop and trade practices.
4. The ability to interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, technical manuals as well as intricate station and manufacturer’s drawings for test facilities.
5. Skill in using all types of shop and hand tools, and testing equipment associated with the electrical trade.
6. Skill in troubleshooting and tracing hard-to-locate defects or problems in electrical systems and components.
7. Skill in utilizing National Electrical Code, National Fire codes, local codes and to use formulas to calculate common properties.
