    Job Overview

    This job announcement will be accepting candidate submissions until 13 September 2024. Resume must be in MM-DD-YY format.

    Position duties include, but are not limited to:

    • Fabrication project management, design, and operational support for development of missile propulsion and missile component programs.
    • Plans and fabricates article required by reviewing the test objective documentation and/or work authorizations.
    • Provides subject matter expertise during article design and reviews submitted blueprints and schematics to confirm article meets test requirements.
    • Oversee and execute welding operations
    • Conduct hot work operations at facility test stands
    • Joins and separates metals using a variety of techniques and processes, including arc welding.
    • Utilizes machinery that produces electrical currents to create heat and bond metals together.
    • Welds materials according to specifications and monitors the welding process.
    • Inspect structures or materials to be welded and evaluates best welding process based on environmental and material factors.
    • Maintain certifications in welding processes for required materials
    • Utilizes the appropriate tooling required to fabricate the required article within the requirements/specifications.
    • Enforces safe work practices/procedures following established safety rules/regulations.

    Required Qualifications

    • United States Citizenship
    • Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearance
    • Familiarity with machinist tooling and fabrication methods
    • Experience in joining metals using various welding techniques and processes, including arc welding, and ability to evaluate and monitor the welding process
    • Experience with metal-cutting and grinding tools and equipment
    • Experience with CAD/CAM software and G Code file generation
    • Ability to interpret test objective documentation and define the scope of fabricated articles

    Desired Qualifications

    • Welding AWS certifications
    • AWS K400/K500 alloys certification
    • Experience in the aerospace industry
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to manage workload across competing priorities and work efficiently towards timely task completion
    • Ability to work independently and proactively
    • Internal quality assurance and inspection skills
