Position duties include, but are not limited to:
- Fabrication project management, design, and operational support for development of missile propulsion and missile component programs.
- Plans and fabricates article required by reviewing the test objective documentation and/or work authorizations.
- Provides subject matter expertise during article design and reviews submitted blueprints and schematics to confirm article meets test requirements.
- Oversee and execute welding operations
- Conduct hot work operations at facility test stands
- Joins and separates metals using a variety of techniques and processes, including arc welding.
- Utilizes machinery that produces electrical currents to create heat and bond metals together.
- Welds materials according to specifications and monitors the welding process.
- Inspect structures or materials to be welded and evaluates best welding process based on environmental and material factors.
- Maintain certifications in welding processes for required materials
- Utilizes the appropriate tooling required to fabricate the required article within the requirements/specifications.
- Enforces safe work practices/procedures following established safety rules/regulations.

Required Qualifications
- United States Citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearance
- Familiarity with machinist tooling and fabrication methods
- Experience in joining metals using various welding techniques and processes, including arc welding, and ability to evaluate and monitor the welding process
- Experience with metal-cutting and grinding tools and equipment
- Experience with CAD/CAM software and G Code file generation
- Ability to interpret test objective documentation and define the scope of fabricated articles

- Welding AWS certifications
- AWS K400/K500 alloys certification
- Experience in the aerospace industry
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to manage workload across competing priorities and work efficiently towards timely task completion
- Ability to work independently and proactively
- Internal quality assurance and inspection skills
