Position: General Manager Reports to: Operations Leadership
The General Manager (GM) is responsible for overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring outstanding guest experiences, high-quality standards, and compliance with health and safety regulations. The GM will manage financial performance and team development and maintain a welcoming environment. This role collaborates closely with leadership to execute company initiatives and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Oversight:
Manage day-to-day restaurant functions efficiently and effectively.
Maintain a clean and safe environment in compliance with health and safety standards.
Oversee inventory, purchasing, receiving, and storage of designated products.
Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality food and service.
Maintain building, equipment, and furnishings in proper working condition.
Uphold company values through leadership and actions.
Financial Management:
Manage labor, cost of goods, and overall restaurant budget.
Monitor financial performance, including sales, expenses, and profitability.
Conduct financial analysis to identify opportunities for improvement.
Achieve targeted sales and profit goals.
Provide regular financial reports to leadership.
Team Leadership:
Communicate policies and procedures while ensuring accountability.
Oversee recruitment, hiring, training, and supervision of team members.
Act as the primary point of contact for staff development and motivation.
Promote a professional and welcoming work environment.
Ensure compliance with scheduling and labor targets.
Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to support team growth.
Foster a safe, inclusive, and harassment-free workplace.
Address team concerns and manage performance issues as needed.
Guest Experience:
Ensure outstanding customer service and resolve guest concerns promptly.
Monitor and respond to guest feedback to enhance service quality.
Foster a warm and inviting atmosphere for all guests.
Marketing & Promotions:
Work with the marketing team to implement strategies that drive guest engagement.
Execute promotions and special events to support business goals.
Compliance & Standards:
Ensure adherence to all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
Maintain safety, sanitation, and security standards.
Implement and enforce company policies consistently.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of restaurant leadership experience in a high-volume, full-service environment.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
Proficiency with restaurant technology and software systems.
Passion for hospitality and guest service excellence.
ServSafe certification is preferred.
