PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Senior Project Safety Manager (Guam) administers the safety program and serves as safety advisor, ensuring safety compliance by the project team and all employees and subcontractors working at the Guam project site.
TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: Senior Project Safety Manager typical responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to the following:
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
Construction Health and Safety Technician credential and advanced safety training, or BS in Occupational Safety Management
5 years of construction safety management experience
Certified as an OSHA 500 Trainer
Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) experience is preferred
Experience working on the US Territory of Guam preferred
Experience working on construction, munitions/UXO and/or environmental remediation projects for the Department of Defense a plus
Experience working in accordance with Joint Region Marianas (JRM) Guam Explosive Safety Submission (ESS) for Guam a plus
40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification (8-hour current) a plus
40-Hour EM385-1-1 Construction Safety Hazard Awareness Course for Contractor’s a plus
Or equivalent combination of education and experience
