    Job Overview

    The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), Information Directorate Logistics Branch (AFRL/RIOLF) is seeking to fill the position of DO-2010-01, Inventory Management Specialist in Rome, New York.

    Position duties include, but not limited to:

    • Serves as the RIOLF single point for researching all customer requests entered in local business tool to determine classification, accountability and coding and asset identification.
    • Utilizes multiple Air Force and Department of Defense (DoD) systems in determining asset identity and accountability.
    • Monitors supply transactions, retrieve scans and clears accountable documents suspense records in the applicable supply systems.
    • Track, monitor and maintain documents in accordance with applicable Air Force guidelines.
    • Conducts analyzes on supply transactions by retrieving data from multiple supply systems of records, local business tools and DoD approved data systems.
    • Develop and present logistics analysis to higher level supervision for monthly logistics readiness review meetings.

    Required Qualifications

    • United States Citizenship.
    • Males must be registered for Selective Service. See www.sss.gov.
    • Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade, DU-03/GS-07, or equivalent.

    Desired Qualifications

    • Current experience in Air Force supply chain management.
    • Proficiency with current Air Force Accountable Property Systems of Record.
    • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Knowledge of Air Force operations, objectives, principles and methods.
    • Knowledge of supply operations and program requirements.
    • Knowledge of, and proficiency with, established supply IT systems.
    • Knowledge of, current or previous, the following systems: Defense Property Accountability system, Integrated Logistics Support-Supply, Logistics Readiness Tool Kit.
