the following positon: Human Resources Administrative Assistant POSITION
SUMMARY: The Human Resources Administrative Assistant will perform
general administrative duties for the Human Resources Department.
Position entails a work schedule of 40 hours per week. MAJOR
RESPONSIBILITIES: * Answer phones and greet visitors * Prepare and
maintain an adequate supply of new hire orientation materials, health
insurance informational packets, and other necessary informational
materials. * Assist in auditing personnel files, medical files, benefits
files, and MVR file. * Assist in I-9 compliance. * Maintain file room
and reception area. * Process employment verification requests. * Log
applications upon receipt. Organize and file applications by position. *
Schedule candidate interviews and pre-employment screenings. * Schedule
new hire orientation and assists in the orientation process of all new
employees by providing orientation information packets; reviewing
company policies; gathering new hire paperwork and payroll information;
explaining and obtaining signatures for benefit programs. * Assembles
personnel files for new hires. * Filing of all payroll change notices
and other correspondence in employee personnel files. * Sort daily mail
for HR Department. * Follow up with new employees who need to turn in
benefit packet prior to deadline. * Assist in tracking new and annual
MVR records for employees needing MVR updates prior to expiration dates.
- Assists in the scheduling of CDL driver annual medical checkups and
annual background/MVR reports prior to expiration date. * Assist the HR
Department as needed. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: * Successful candidate will
have a minimum of 1 year previous experience in a Human Resources
environment. * Associates Degree or some college preferred. * Must be
bilingual English & Spanish. * Excellent computer skills: MS Office:
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Outlook * Excellent organizational and
communication skills both written and verbal. * Demonstrated time
management skills - ability to multi-task and work within deadlines.
