The AFRL Munitions Directorate (AFRL/RW) seeks to hire a Mid-Level Senior Engineer, DR-0801-03 (GS-14 equivalent) as the Lead Science & Technology Systems Engineer in the Science & Technology Division (RWT), Eglin AFB in Valparaiso, Florida.
Experience in the following: As leader, the successful candidate is expected to have experience in conducting and leading complex research, understanding and applying system engineering principles, and motivational skills for growing a robust system engineering culture. Must have at least one year of specialized experience at the DR-02/GS-13 or equivalent grade level Specialized Experience in applying system engineering principles and tools in the development of munition technology (Ordnance, Guidance, Seekers, Propulsion, Modeling & Simulation, or Testing) and/or development of weapon systems (Air-to-Air Missiles, Air-to-Surface Munitions, weapon support equipment or artillery).

To qualify at the DR-3 GS-14 grade level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level, which must include the following experience: in conducting and leading complex research, understanding and applying system engineering principles, and motivational skills for growing a robust system engineering culture.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
