The Munitions Directorate seeks to hire a Senior Supervisory Engineer/Scientist (DR-0801/1301-03) in the Science & Technology Division, Energetic Materials Branch, Energetic Material & Initiation Section at Eglin AFB, Florida. To qualify at the DR-3 GS-14 grade level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level, which must include the following experience: leading collaborative teams, working independently and with cross-functional organizations, and using these approaches to find and solve complex technical problems. Experience includes leading and conducting research in the initiation, performance and dynamic properties of energetic materials.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
