    POSITION OVERVIEW: This position will anticipate and provide a broad range of administrative support to ensure that all regional operations are effective, up to date and accurate. This includes but is not limited to assistance with employee training, financial processes, invoicing, compiling audit data and monitoring maintenance and repair for North America.

    This is an exempt position. The primary duty of this role is office/non-manual work directly related to management or general business operations of the employer. This role includes discretion and independent judgement in matters of significance.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Planning and discharge confirming Chiquita vessels and 3rd party vessels with Chiquita cargo on board in Chiquita’s system

    Cargo bookings validation to expedite reception of containers from customers at the Chiquita terminal

    Planning inspections in coordination with Agriculture and CBP to provide the more available containers on board of every week vessel

    Paper rolls stuffing control and reporting

    Taking and scheduling appointments

    Receiving truck drivers and having them ready for loading

    Organizing and preparing documentation for everyday dispatch

    Submitting to Great White Fleet Customer service the received dock receipts at the port, for the title validation purposes

    Organizing and filing documents

    Updating and maintaining yard inventory (different systems) Cross training with other workmates

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in administrative or multi-level support role

    Associate degree

    Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

    Excellent PC skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint a must

    Adaptable and proactive

    Must be able to meet department goals with little direction, able to anticipate and make needed adjustments to schedules, meeting arrangements, travel arrangements, etc...

    Strong organization, planning, and time management skills

    Ability to work under pressure; maintain problem-solving attitude

    Ability to manage financial processes, strong analytical ability

    Ability to define priorities and to handle multiple tasks and projects

    Strong written and verbal communication skills

    PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT:

    Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment

    Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal

    Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment in the course of normal workday

    Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties
