We’re looking for an ABSENCE & LEAVE ANALYST to join Procore’s Total Rewards team. In this role, you’ll be the initial point of contact for employees seeking information regarding our leave and time away benefit programs.
As an ABSENCE & LEAVE ANALYST, you’ll partner with our Talent Business Partners, Talent Operations, and Legal teams to administer our leave and time away programs. In this role you will administer leaves of absence (LOA) by working collaboratively with employees and our leave vendor, responding to questions and resolving issues, following processes and complying with federal and state regulations. This position reports into the VP, Total Rewards and will be based in our Remote Office. We’re looking for someone to join us immediately.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Serve as the primary contact for employee inquiries regarding our US leave and time away programs, responding to inquiries submitted via email, either directly or indirectly through HR staff or appropriate leader. Ensures that employees are aware of their responsibilities and of any documentation and notice required to qualify for and to take leave.
Coordinate all leave types for US employees, including FMLA, ADA, CFRA, STD, LTD, military, jury duty, bereavement, company specific and state mandated (including state Paid Family Leave) in partnership with our leave carrier
Support and consult with HR partners, ER, managers and employees on a myriad of issues including leaves of absence, reasonable accommodations, the interplay of overlapping benefits and protections, unauthorized leaves, position backfill requests, and returns from leave of absence with complex accommodations.
Partner with Leaves TPA on the day-to-day leave process by managing workflow, including tracking all leave of absences, identifying discrepancies, obtaining necessary approvals and/or following-up on outstanding issues.
Ensure a smooth return to work transition for the employee; coordinates return with the manager considering any restrictions that may need to be accommodated
Gather critical data as requested (case notes, LOA dates, etc.) to support the company in its compliance efforts and defense of legal matters
Collaborate with Payroll team to ensure accurate leave of absence details are gathered and shared timely to meet US payroll deadlines
Utilize HR information system (Workday) and web-based vendor software as needed to input and update leave data and generate reports
Coordinate with team members and management to communicate various policies, procedures, laws, standards, and best practices as they relate to US leave of absence
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
College degree or equivalent experience
2+ years of leave administration and benefits experience, preferably in a high-tech company with a presence in all 50 states, with a particular understanding of laws in California, New York, Texas and Louisiana.
Thorough understanding and ability to effectively interpret Family & Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other applicable federal and state laws, as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities
Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive information with discretion
Strong judgment, decisiveness, critical thinking, fact-finding and excellent oral and written communication skills to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
Proficient with MS Office Suite, Google and Workday, especially strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills.
