    AFRL/RX is seeking a highly skilled DR/DO-3 or DR/DO-4 Project Manager to lead multifaceted projects, ensuring seamless integration of IT systems with physical infrastructure.

    Position duties include, but are not limited to:

    As Project Manager, you will be responsible for interpreting multi-level organization and customer needs and translating them into actionable requirements. You will manage complex projects, from initiation through financial closeout, balancing scope, quality, schedule, budget, and risk. Your role will involve developing and managing complex project plans and schedules, while ensuring alignment with broader strategic goals and operational requirements. Specifically, you will be responsible for overseeing and directing the development and implementation of a new capability (to include stand-up of a new facility) to provide unique Air Force collaborative and interactive Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) research capabilities.

    Required Qualifications

    • US Citizen
    • For 0801 and 0854 applicants - Possess a professional science or engineering (S&E) degree, in a relevant technical field, from an accredited (or ABET accredited for engineering) academic institution.
    • For 1301 applicants - Degree: physical science, engineering, or mathematics that includes 24 semester hours in physical science and/or related engineering science such as mechanics, dynamics, properties of materials, and electronics OR Combination of education and experience -- education equivalent to one of the majors shown above that included at least 24 semester hours in physical science and/or related engineering science, plus appropriate experience or additional education
    • For 1501 and 1550 applicants - Bachelor’s degree in computer science or bachelor’s degree with 30 semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science. At least 15 of the 30 semester hours must have included any combination of statistics and mathematics that included differential and integral calculus. All academic degrees and coursework must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions.
    • For 2210 applicants - Degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management **or ** degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems, or networks. All academic degrees and coursework must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions **OR ** IT-related experience demonstrating attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem-solving.

    Desired Qualifications

    • Proven experience of managing complex projects with multiple disciplines, from initiation through financial closeout.
    • Strong knowledge of strategic development, planning, and execution, particularly in the context of integrating new capabilities and managing trade-offs.
    • The ability to integrate IT systems with physical infrastructure, with strong analytical skills to assess and address complex problems.
    • Demonstrated experience in leading diverse development teams and resolving disputes among stakeholders.
    • Familiarity with contracting procedures, concepts, and practices, and experience in evaluating contractor proposals and activities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to form effective working relationships across various organizations and disciplines.
    • Extensive experience in program management, preferably in a government or defense-related context.
    • General understanding of IT including AI/ML concepts to comprehend and capture facility requirements.
    • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
