PURPOSE OF POSITION
To assist the Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist in planning and implementation of recreational activities and programmatic events for the children in the Pediatric Center.
POSITION FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Treat every resident, family member, and co-worker with dignity, respect, and courtesy.
- Complete daily session attendance/statistics in the EMR
- Assist in decorating of facility for holidays and events.
- Assist in selection, planning and implementation of special events.
- Maintain supplies in orderly manner. Assist in selection and ordering of supplies.
- Attend all pertinent educational in services and neighborhood team meetings.
- Assist CTRS with implementation of individual and group activities.
- Provide individual activities as assigned by neighborhood CTRS.
- Keep neighborhood CTRS informed on all resident participation and response to individual and group activities.
- Maintain and be able to have a flexible schedule
- Other related duties as may become necessary or as directed by the neighborhood CTRS, Chief Rehabilitation Officer and/or Vice President of Operations.
Required Skills
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma; Associate degree in Therapeutic Recreation or Health Related Field preferred.
Required Experience
EXPERIENCE:
- 2 years of related experience; experience with pediatric population preferred.
