AFRL/RVKY seeks to hire a DO-1102-03 Supervisory Contract Specialist to serve as a Branch Chief at Kirtland AFB, NM.
Position duties include, but are not limited to:
Planning and organizing activities of the Branch
Ensuring contracting actions comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs
Directing, coordinating, and controlling office resources
Developing goals and objectives for the Branch
Establishing policies and procedures for successful accomplishment of acquisitions to include planning solicitations, negotiations, source selections, awards, administration,
and termination of contracts and ensuring the efficient use of resources to achieve "best value" outcomes
Planning and scheduling work in a manner that promotes a smooth flow and even distribution
Coordinating plans and schedules with other Branch Chiefs and customers
Identifying needs for change in priorities and takes actions to implement such changes in timely manner
Providing supervisory personnel management responsibilities
Assigning work to subordinate supervisors and employees such that the knowledge, skills, and abilities of the staff are effectively utilized to meet customer needs
Advising employees of policies, procedures, and directives of management
Representing the Contracting Division with a variety of installation and business organizations
Establishing, developing, and maintaining effective working relationships with contractors, business and industry representatives, customer organizations, federal, state, and local
government officials, and allied organizations
Participating in special projects, initiatives, and other special assignments
