    Job Overview

    This position will be accepting candidate submissions until 03 January 2025. The Information Directorate (RI), Security Forces Branch (RIOF) is seeking to hire an entry-level DO-0080-01, Security Specialist in Rome, NY.

    Position duties include, but are not limited to:

    • Serves as a first-level supervisor for the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the Plans and Programs section.
    • Engages in duties as the Controlled Area Program Manager.
    • Engages in duties as the Physical Security Program Manager.
    • Oversees Visitor Control Center Operations.
    • Ensures Installation Plans involving Security Operations are maintained and updated on an annual basis.
    • Coordinates with Leadership on changes that affect Security Operations.
    • Serves as the Point of Contact for the Defense Biometrics Identification System.
    • Conducts the functions of Security Forces Reports and Analysis Section.
    • Manages the Electronic Security Systems for the Security Forces Branch.
    • Responsible for the Installation Base Defense Plan.
    • Reviews all construction projects.
    • Serves as the Unit Account Manager for the Air Force Justice Information System.

    Required Qualifications

    • United States Citizenship.
    • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
    • Males must be registered for Selective Service, see www.sss.gov.
    • Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade DU-04, or equivalent in other pay systems.

    Desired Qualifications

    • Knowledge of Defense Biometrics Identification System.
    • Electronic Security Systems certification.
    • Anti-Terrorism Level II certification.
    • Knowledge of the Air Force Justice Information System.
