JOB SUMMARY
MONDAY-FRIDAY 8AM-5PM
Performs a variety of tasks involving physical labor including building custom structures and equipment as directed by management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assemble equipment from blueprints, schematics, and verbal instructions
- Layout and wiring of panel conduit, transformers, CTs, relays and circuit breakers
- Operate knockout punches, jigsaws, hole saws, etc.
- Drilling and tapping panels
- Able to route, terminate and dress harness neatly
- Adapt to new and changing work environments
- Deconstruct equipment; ensuring piece is salvageable
- Travel to company sites (locally and out of state) to assist in set up, construction, or deconstruction of equipment
- Performs basic testing and troubleshooting
May be modified from time to time. Other duties, tasks and work may be assigned.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED
- Good understanding of electrical and mechanical principles
- Knows how to operate hand and power tools
- Familiar with electrical safety guidelines
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to read instructions and specifications
- Ability to multi-task and manage priorities
- Good communication skills
- Ability to assess and solve problems as they occur
- Detail oriented
- Willingness to travel (by car or air) to company sites
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Two to five years related experience and/or technical training.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Valid Driver’s license; CDL is a plus.
- Clean driving record
- Forklift certified a plus.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Reaching/working overhead, lifting, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling
- Continuous standing and repetitive hand motion
- Frequent walking
- Lifting requirements include frequent lifting of up to 100 pounds and continuous lifting of up to 35 pounds
- Working from ladders, scaffolding, and scissor lifts
