POSITION OVERVIEW:
Chiquita is looking for a dedicated Treasury Analyst to join our Treasury team. In this role, you will be responsible for handling payments, maintaining vendor information, and ensuring smooth financial operations. We are seeking someone detail-oriented and reliable who can efficiently manage various tasks in a fast-paced environment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Enter manual payments into bank software, ensuring all payments have the proper approval.
Maintain accurate vendor information in treasury databases and bank software (e.g., repetitive payment details).
Initiate funds transfers, ensuring adequate account balances and timely payments.
Reconcile prior day actuals to estimates, investigate variances, and resolve any payment failures.
Manage returns, facilitate voids/stop payments, and address discrepancies effectively.
Coordinate with internal/external customers and banks to resolve issues, answer inquiries, and provide necessary documentation.
Process in-house checks (deposits) and apply cash received from customers.
Prepare and deliver regular reports (e.g., checks control, cash balances, and bank fees) on a weekly and monthly basis.
Support various administrative tasks and contribute to process improvement and cost-saving initiatives.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
2-3 years of experience in finance, preferably in treasury operations, banking, accounts payables, credit collections, or cash application.
Proficiency in Excel and strong general computer skills.
Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
Strong multitasking skills with keen attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, and perform under pressure.
Excellent organizational abilities.
Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred but not mandatory.
JOB ENVIRONMENT:
Majority of tasks are performed in a temperature-controlled office setting.
Extended periods of sitting at a desk or computer terminal.
Use of calculators, keyboards, telephones, and other standard office equipment.
Occasional stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching required to complete job duties.
This position requires satisfactory passing of a drug test in accordance with Florida Statute § 440.102.
