    PART TIME • WALNUT CREEK, CA

    Overview

    The Administrative Assistant plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of Sunday services by anticipating needs and taking ownership of tasks. This position provides part time administrative support to the Lead Pastor, Worship Arts Director, Outreach Director, and Operations Manager. The ideal candidate will have a warm and welcoming demeanor, possess strong anticipatory skills, and demonstrate proactive problem-solving abilities.

    Key Responsibilities

    Sunday Support

    Coordinate special Lunches & Events held on Sundays.

    Be available to support the needs of the directors and Lead Pastor on Sunday.

    Follow a checklist to ensure everything is prepared and in place for Sunday.

    Administrative Support to the Lead Pastor, Worship Arts Director & Outreach Director

    Coordinate Special Events hosted by Lead Pastor.

    Calendaring & Expense Reconciliation for Lead Pastor.

    Support administratively (as requested) the Lead Pastor, Worship Arts Director & Outreach Director.

    Attend pertinent meetings.

    Administrative Support of Office Operations

    Assist with administrative and clerical functions associated with running the front office of the church.

    Answer phones, check general email and forward appropriately.

    Monitor supply inventories and order as necessary including snack and beverage inventory.

    Operate a variety of standard office machines

    Manage maintenance of office equipment including supplies

    Organize monthly staff events

    Support with getting out weekly church bulletin & E-mail Newsletter

    Coordinating mailings & light communications support.

    1-3 years Administrative experience

    Church Organizational experience a plus

    Works with: Operations Manager, Lead Pastor, Worship Arts Director, Outreach

    Director

    Reports to: Operations Manager

    Hours: up to 24 hours per week

    Schedule: Sunday, Tuesday & Wednesday In Office (some flexibility on hours & Days)
