WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

Office environment with very little management oversight during work hours. Work area will be located separate from dispatch office. Interaction will be with feeder drivers primarily sleeper drivers and dispatch.

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for daily and weekly sleeper tasks at Worldport.

Job Description:

• Check emails/voicemails respond accordingly
• Update safe work days. Post in hall
• Send out daily safety message to drivers on IVIS client. Email to management.
• Post daily feeder safety report in hall
• Post any construction/traffic updates in hall
• Record safety/wellness message for ring down feeder gate phone
• Make copies for sleeper stat sheet, timecards, opt day, vac day, and DOK forms
• Update sleeper control log. Email. Print copy for clipboard
• Make sure each sleeper tractor has the appropriate toll passes and permits for assigned run
• Track and record, approve/deny driver option/vacation days, make copies, and put notes in dispatch book
• Track and record monthly DOK paperwork, update tracking log, file graded DOKs in binder
• Communicate any schedule changes with dispatch and sleeper drivers. Print updated LMA give copy to payroll (Erin), sleeper team LMA book, dispatch, and sleeper team’s box. Print maps if necessary
• Check safety dashboard. Track any drivers coming due for annual certifications. Re-certify and roster drivers who are due. Grade. File certifications in binder.
• Communicate with ComData to order or replace fuel cards, add drivers into system to fuel, or any other fuel card issues.
• Track/submit/order/replace/return/assign any toll passes and permits (EZ Pass, PrePass, NY Hut sticker, Oregon Weight Receipt & Tax Identifier, Oklahoma Pike Pass, Florida SunPass, NM Tax Permit etc.)
• Build/rebuild files for sleeper jobs to be kept in tractor.
• Communicate with Penske on any tractor issues.
• Communicate with shop with any IVIS issues
• File driver logs
• Log observations into SAFE
• Order uniforms
• Box up old uniforms for return. Put in sort.

Required Skills:

• Previous experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Working knowledge of feeder, expedited or trucking operations.
• Will be required to be PITO qualified to drive vehicles on SDF property.

Additional Skills:

• Knowledge of feeder systems including but not limited to IVIS, GTS and HFCS. Experience in feeder dispatch and/or expedited feeder operation.
• Reports include Fuel and Oil report and input observations into SAFE.

Interpersonal Skills:

• Needs to be motivated and work well independently.
• Ability to professionally interact with full-time employees and various feeder support operations.
