JOB SUMMARY
The Human Resources (HR) Specialist provides support and tactical implementation in the areas of Organizational Training, Performance Management, Health and Safety, Compensation and Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, Labor Relations, and Workforce Planning. This position provides valued solutions to management for the implementation of HR initiatives.
A major responsibility of this position is to manage workforce planning, recruiting and hiring. Duties include managing candidate sourcing to ensure requisition needs are promptly filled with quality candidates, and interviewing candidates. The HR specialist also evaluates recruiting and interviewing processes to determine success rates and make process improvements, and monitors employment procedures to ensure legal and governmental compliance.
This position develops recruiting relationships with colleges, universities, and other organizations and groups to aid in sourcing quality candidates. The HR Specialist is also responsible for running queries and reports and providing HR administration and support. He/she works with various functions and departments to process information requests, collect information, and create and distribute reports.

Founded on a $100 loan in 1907, 2 teenage boys opened up a messenger service in a 6 by 17 foot office located just below the sidewalk on Second Avenue and Main Street in Seattle, WA. Messengers ran errands, carried notes, hand baggage, and delivered trays of food for customers. They also delivered packages, traveling by streetcars and bicycles for longer trips, and later using motorcycles.
