    JOB SUMMARY

    The Industrial Engineering (IE) Planner supports business planning by developing daily, monthly, and annual plans for the Package, Hub or Feeder operations.  He/She forecasts volume and productivity targets ensuring that the business plan production levels are achieved. Long range plans are developed for use in determining operations capacities.

    This position is responsible for developing daily, weekly, and annual staffing projections.  This includes identifying processes to provide a cost-effective operating plan.  The IE Planner ensures projection and forecast measures are relevant and conform to accepted IE principles.

    OTHER DUTIES 

    • Works with various groups to develop operating plans components.
    • Follows up with Business Managers to improve plan effectiveness and influence decision making.
    • Analyzes process flow charts and production schedules.
    • Develops contingency plans for unexpected situation preparedness.
    • Remains current with new services and changing conditions.
    • Identifies process improvement opportunities to increase efficiencies.
    • Educates employees on job requirements and responds to job method questions.

    • Estimates and forecasts market data and trends to identify potential growth, costs, risks, and benefits.
    • Writes complex report queries for customized reports that integrate data, information and documents from multiple sources.
    • Synthesizes, combines and integrates information and data to form conclusions and  communicate results clearly using the appropriate audience based tool and reports.
