As a Business Data Analyst Intern, you are a key contributor of AbbVie Endocrinology Inc, data analytics. You will synthesize and leverage data-sets based on applied modeling and analysis of data sources with process knowledge of all the key processes in supply chain, particularly around planning, distribution and logistics and its interdependencies.

You will have the opportunity to present results to management and business partners to support high-impact business value decisions. In addition, you will engage with the business and IT on (data) governance to make sure that data and business processes are aligned, with high-performance and agile processes as result.

You will closely collaborate and build effective relationships with team and business partners to understand the data and related improvement needs of the business. Finally, you will continuously search for innovative ways to drive awareness on data driven opportunities and will be recognized as a key member in the analytics/data science area within supply chain domain.

Key responsibilities include:

• Effectively analyzing diverse sources of data to achieve targeted outcome
• Applying modeling concepts to solve medium-complex business questions
• Supporting the development of an “analytical capability” and “big data” concepts to become the business expert in these areas
• Closely collaborating with IT and business partners to set priorities and provide support on Business Data Management (Governance)
• Ability to translate large data sets, analysis and complex models in usable, effective and presentable data to key stakeholders to drive business improvement opportunities
• Effectively participate in cross-functional project teams
• Participate in production of innovative analytic solutions that drive existing and changing business processes and business strategies
• Be passionate and maintain a pragmatic approach to all data conclusions and solutions in large datasets

Minimum Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in college or university, pursuing a bachelor's degree in applied mathematics, business research, operational research, supply chain, or related major
• Understanding of statistical and predictive modeling concepts
• Understand complex and big data sets
• Strong analytical skills and experience working with data
• Working knowledge of statistical analysis environments, BI tools, and data mining frameworks
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior internship experience in a similar environment
• Strong cross functional collaboration with supply chain user
• Ability to understand the big picture when working on projects and with data
