    Supply Chain Data Analyst Intern Overview

    As a Supply Chain Data Analyst Intern, you will work with the dedicated data analysts as a supportive point of contact for IPL and SC management, 3PLs, carriers, and consultants within global operations. You will assist and learn to produce and leverage datasets of all sizes by applying modeling based upon process knowledge around planning, distribution, warehousing and logistics and their interdependencies.

    During the summer, you will present results to management and business partners to support making high-impact business value decisions. Additionally, you will engage with the business and IT on (data) governance to make sure that Data and Business Processes are aligned, with high-performance and agile processes as result. You’ll closely collaborate and build effective relationships with team and business partners to understand the data and related improvement needs of the business, and finally, will continuously be searching for innovative ways to drive awareness on data driven opportunities.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Drive analytics for supply chain optimization within areas of Logistics and Inventory by collaborating with the teams of data analysts and scientists
    • Support key strategic initiatives on process and margin improvements with analytics contributions
    • Become familiar with market trends and assess impacts with regards to supply chain operations
    • Support the reporting and analytics, such as KPIs, financial reports, and creating and improving dashboards
    • Support the development of an “analytical capability” and “big data” concepts
    • Translate large data sets, analysis, and complex models in usable, effective and presentable data to key stakeholders to identify and drive business improvement opportunities
    • Effectively participate in (cross-functional project) teams
    • Participate in production of innovative analytic solutions that drive existing and changing business processes and business strategies
    • Perform recurring and ad hoc quantitative analysis to support day-to-day decision making
    • Work with customer-centric algorithm models and tailor them to each customer as required

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Be currently enrolled at a college or university, pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Economics, or Information Systems or related major
    • Completed at least two years of college or university education before the beginning of the internship and must be enrolled in school the semester directly following the internship
    • Proficiency and experience working with cross functional teams
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills

    Preferred Qualifications (Optional)

    • Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Experience with data extraction and visualization tools such as: SQL, Qlik, PowerBI and SAP
    • Exceptional interpersonal, leadership and project management skills
