    Job Description

    Works independently performing tracking, gaiting and reconciliation of external spend to contracted amounts. Drives resolution of payment issues related to outstanding balances. Serves as a key resource to leadership, enabling external spend with third parties to proceed smoothly and efficiently. Works diligently and accurately with both internal and external parties. Foresees challenges and recommends alternative paths forward contractually and financially. Is accountable for accuracy of reconciliation.

    Responsibilities

    • Utilize internal systems to create, collect, summarize, analyze & consolidate payment history and reconcile with plan.
    • Work with cross-functional partners to accurately track forecasted spend.
    • Accurately enter plan and track actuals.
    • Challenge status quo ensuring accuracy of final deliverable.
    • Key contributor to improvement initiatives.
    • Utilize internal systems to submit track and reconcile contracts, invoices and vendors.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree preferred
    • 2+ years relevant experience, with bachelor's; 4-6 years experience in accounting and financial reporting as well as contracting without Bachelor's.
    • Flexible, able to work with minimal supervision & have good analytical organizational & team skills as demonstrated by ability to work in a matrix environment.
    • Familiar with basic financial/accounting principles with experience working with budgets & contracts required.
    • Thorough knowledge of Excel & Microsoft Word.
    • Ability to multi-task effectively & efficiently as well as adapt quickly to change.
    • Familiarity with financial reporting tools desired

    Key Stakeholders:

    R&D Finance management, Product Development Directors within DPD, Drug Product Development Leadership team and Technology Licensing and Collaborations.
