    Job Description

    The primary functions of this position are conducting laboratory experiments and analysis in support of molecular toxicology studies.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Proactively engage in independent research to explore, develop, troubleshoot, and refine novel cell, biochemical, and molecular biology assays/techniques tailored to critical project demands.
    • Demonstrate expertise in a wide array of experimental techniques and data analysis methods.
    • Generate, coordinate, and present pivotal data on toxicity mechanisms utilizing in vitro assays or alternative methodologies as required.
    • Efficiently analyze and interpret molecular toxicology data, ensuring timely communication of findings and insights to project stakeholders.
    • Collaborate effectively to transfer in vitro platforms and methods across various key groups within AbbVie.

    Qualifications

    • BS or MS in cell/molecular biology, Molecular toxicology/Pharmacology, biochemistry, or a related field with 0-2+ yrs experience for MS and 3+ years of experience for BS.
    • Experience in basic cell culture (particularly primary cholangiocytes), biochemical, and molecular biology (RNA, DNA, protein) endpoints
    • Good analytical skills and knowledge in data analysis, interpretation, report writing, and communication (both written and oral)
    • Practical knowledge of in vitro assay development and troubleshooting
    • Experience with molecular model characterization and imaging endpoint a plus
    • Knowledge of traditional scientific, statistical, and graphing software

Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

    • This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive programs.
