The Worldwide (WW) Medical Learning Team plays a critical role in ensuring that healthcare providers are educated on the appropriate use of our medicines and have the information they need to improve outcomes for their patients. We develop strategies, tools, and guidance to empower Medical and Field Medical (FM) teams across the globe to perform effectively and compliantly, thereby ensuring high quality scientific exchange with the healthcare community.
The WW Scientific Learning AD for Oncology is accountable for planning, developing, implementing/facilitating and evaluating scientific learning initiatives for the BMS oncology portfolio, with a strong focus on field medical (FM) and home office medical (HOM) teams outside the USA (focus: major markets, intercon). The incumbent will be accountable for designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining therapeutic area (TA) onboarding for new FM and HOM team members in oncology and will collaborate with Scientific Learning colleagues and Worldwide Medical Affairs partners to develop strategic scientific learning plans to support medical teams for product launches. Based on business needs, the AD will develop and implement scientific learning initiatives on a regular basis and update scientific learning program/logs for FM and HOM teams in the therapeutic area on, at least, an annual basis. The incumbent will partner closely with US Scientific Learning colleagues to ensure alignment of TA scientific learning strategies, support TA-aligned US Scientific Learning teammates if, and as needed, and partner with colleagues (WW Medical Learning Skills & Leadership Development, Scientific Learning, Global Field Medical Excellence, WW Medical Affairs, WW Medical Communications, and Commercialization Learning (amongst other stakeholders)) to identify and prioritize scientific learning needs for worldwide FM and HOM teams aligned with WW Medical Affairs strategy for each disease area. The AD will also partner closely across the matrix for commercialization needs.
