    Job Description

    • Maintain oversight of day-to-day laboratory activities; manage inventory of raw materials and lab consumables
    • Manage sample inventory for stability, development, and testing including handling of highly potent compounds
    • Responsible for managing storage devices and relevant laboratory equipment to ensure uninterrupted operations
    • Serve as the key point of contact for the lab team, fielding service requests, assigning tasks, and helping maintain a culture of safety and compliance
    • Hands-on role and responsible for overall daily operations in the lab including laboratory equipment and instrumentation (i.e. contracts, maintenance, repair, calibration, upgrades, and retiring) and lab consumables (i.e. contracts, procurement, order management, and inventory management)
    • Support inventory management using software purposely designed to manage the movement of toxin/select agent materials.
    • Perform annual inventory reconciliation activities, alongside other team members
    • Prepare and coordinate shipments of samples including highly potent compounds
    • Work with EH&S department and maintain compliance with internal and external procedures and guidelines for toxin/select agent materials, lab incident management, exposure risk assessments, chemical hygiene, and hazard communication.
    • Perform regular lab walk-throughs to ensure the common equipment is in good working order and coordinate repairs and maintenance with the engineering group as needed
    • Accompany vendors for equipment servicing visits complying with safety policies.
    • Support drug product manufacture preparation activities: preparation of common buffers to ensure uniform quality.
    • Work closely with procurement and lab teams on CAPEX / OPEX budget and ordering lab assets and service contracts.

    Qualifications

    • BA +3 years of relevant experience
    • Familiarity with export-controlled technology requirements
    • Meticulous attention to detail and diligence in record keeping.
    • Hands-on experience with handling and shipment of highly potent compounds
    • Demonstrated communication skills in English
    • Experience in a cross-functional, global environment, used to work with teams in a matrix
    • Highly motivated, pro-active hands-on scientist who thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
